In this program, I want to be able to further expand my knowledge with Photoshop, as well as learn how to use the rest of the Adobe Software that’s available, and get the certification with each of them. Each software is a piece of a puzzle, waiting to complete the bigger picture in my journey of digital media learning. As I enter this digital multimedia class, I have a clear vision of what I want to accomplish in these two years, and by learning every single day, I’m positive that I’ll be able to reach those goals.

While we were locked down during the pandemic, I worked with Adobe softwares like Photoshop, but I’d like to further expand my knowledge as well as to learn to use all the other applications that I have within my power. That is, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects, InDesign, etc. I used to make my own wallpapers in Photoshop, and make different collages with characters from shows, movies, games, or bands that I like. It really helped me expand my creativity and have fun while also learning.

I’ve always been interested in the design and media creation field. It’s not just because of the endless possibilities that are available with its tools, but also the potential that it has in the way that we communicate, entertain, and do business. These tools don’t just help with visuals, they create experiences, and have the power to influence people, change perspectives, and even transform different industries. Engaging in this class is not only just academic growth, but also personal evolution. Every lesson I add on to my portfolio is an aid for reaching my goals for digital media.

For Illustrator, I want to create logos or flyers for clients in my company, I’m going to make them look sharp and professional. In this digital age, the first impression is mostly made by visuals, and with Illustrator, I aim to make each first impression count. Adding on, I’ll make their brand pop out with catchy and simple designs, which will be used to attract customers, while using Illustrator to do so. I will also make them their logos for their website and social media. Since I want to help my clients stand out, Illustrator will help me accomplish that.

As for After Effects, I want to take the designs made in Illustrator to another level and animate them. Make a cool looking interface for my client’s socials that are appealing to the customer’s eye. For Premiere Pro, I want to film and edit videos of my clients’ businesses, capturing the heart and soul of what they offer and provide, and ways to contact them. I will upload them online and gain followers. This will help them bring in more customers, as well as more revenue.

Wrapping up, this class is not meant for only designing but I will use it as a tool to reach my entrepreneurial goals. With a solid base of each software, I’ll create and innovate my brand so that I can make a profitable company. Because behind every simple idea, there will always be something better to make of it, and I’m on the journey to discover it.
